  • Unpack the fan motor alon with guard and blade. Clean dirt if any. Join two connector halves of Fan Motor and Fan Stand.

  • Insert the connector inside the stand through top opening of the stand and fix the wire inserted gromet properly in the slot of Fan Stand.

  • Fix the motor with the stand using the hinge axle pin and tighten the thumb screw.

  • And then tighten the thumb screw.

  • Unscrew the blade clamping plastic nut from the spindle and the guard clamping plastic nut from the front false cover of the motor.

  • Place the back guard on the front false cover using the location pegs of the front false cover. Tighten the guard clamping plastic nut.

  • Fix the blade on spindle and firmly tighten the blade fixing nut in anti-clockwise direction as it is left hand thread. Please ensure that the spring dowel on the motor shaft gets located in to the slot at the back side of the Blade Hub.

  • Fix the Front Guard using the clamping ring and ensure that the 'Orient' logo on trim is in horizontal position and the Lock of Ring is at the bottom position. Also please ensure that the V-groove location of the ring gets located in to one of the wire at the back guard.

  • Make sure the supply is AC and the voltage is as specified in the nameplate. To choose the desired speed of the fan, push the knob to Lo, Med or Hi.

  • For oscillation, press down the oscillating knob. For stopping the oscillation movement, pull the oscillating knob upwards.

  • For tilting the fan, hold the guard, loosen the hinge thumb screw, tilt the fan to the required position and tighten the hinge thumb screw. Engage oscillation and run the fan.

  • Cover the fan with dust cover, (provided) when not in use. Open back false cover for oiling the bearings. Use good quality oil. ALFA ZN-150 of CASTROL. A few drops should last for a season.
